"Exellent resort for kids"

Just returned from Sandos Caracol with family of 3 kids (5-7-15). The kids club is fantastic, not so many activities planned but the place as a huge park inside so kids can play hours and hours when they want. Nothing much to do for teenager though...
Staff and service are more than exellent. The hotel resort is big, many restaurants, food is ok good , good variety and taste good( typical of a 3-4 star hotel).
What we hated was the beach, it is impossible to swim in ocean. There is too many rocks and my wife got hurt while trying to venture in the water. Nobody swim in the ocean at the resort. It is the first time in 20 years going to resort that we did not want to spend time on the beach while in south. Also this hotel in far from everything( basically in the woods).
If you are beach lover, by the love choose resorts in Playacar area. The beach is awsome and you can walk right into town Playa del Carmen for shopping.
Sandos have a resort in Playacar, next year we will try that one instead cause loved the service staff but hated the beach.
Hope this help!!
"Exceptional family vacation!"

Wow, just returned from an incredible stay at the Paraiso Lindo. Exceptional service and food! Great attention to detail by all staff and a genuine happiness and desire to make your stay enjoyable. Lots of amenities and activities to keep our whole family happy including our 4 and 6 year old children. We will definitely be returning! Breathtaking grounds and fantastic beach area. Never felt crowded either, even though we were there at a peak time. Loved the lazy river and the wave pool too.

This was a lovely resort, allow the previous review regarding walking are accurate, we love to walk so this suited us fine, we stayed during rainy week in January and it was a shame the resort didn't seem to step up and provided alternate activities, no board games, card games etc. musical entertainment was a bit sketchy. Food was quite good, rather cafeteria-ish in the two main buffets but we learned right off get go , to eat down at the riviera snack bar, closer to the beach and friendlier , perhaps even fresher.really worth it to book into the evening restaurants, highly recommend the Hacienda and the mamma Mia, they were outstanding! las olas ok, not awesome and same with the Steak place. Consistency of room cleaning was good but the timing was all over the map, we're finding this to be the rule not the exception travelling in the Maya Riviera, adjusting our expectations!
"A Great Vacation!"

We had a great time at Iberostar Paraiso Maya! We stayed 3 nights in a Junior Suite and it was large and very clean. The surroundings, building and service were definitely 5-star quality. The variety at the buffet was huge. The quality of food can be improved, but it was more than adequate and we enjoyed our meals very much. At one dinner buffet there was lobster, and we also had lobster at the Japanese restaurant. Maya guests have access to all Lindo restaurants as well. We dined at both Maya and Lindo restaurants for breakfast and lunch, and the quality of food and service seems to be slightly better at the Maya restaurants. The beach area was nice, although it was quite crowded with beach chairs and not the vast open beach I expected.
"Excellent activity staff"

If you are looking for activities, this resort is a 5+ star. The activities and entertainment staff are outstanding. They work very hard all day and night, run lots of fun activities, great nightly shows, try to get everyone involved. You will never be bored. I already miss my daily zumba class on the beach! Huge pool is very nice. Great beach. OK food (buffet pretty much the same every day). Rooms are tight (we had 4 people). Location is about an hour from Cancun and an hour from Tulum. Overall it was a wonderful vacation.

The beach at this hotel absolutely made our vacation! What a wonderful stretch! The hotel grounds are gorgeous. The Privileged rooms are better than I was expecting. Request section 6! It has its own private path to the beach. The food was what you would expect at a resort. Would absolutely stay here again.

Went on a quick 5 day trip, and the hotel exceeded our expectations based on its rating. Excellent value, and had a great time. Would recommend to others who are trying to do a budget vacation and still have an awesome time
