Golf is Cranbrook’s most popular pastime, so make the most of its generous sunshine quota and hit the Cranbrook Golf and Country Club for a round or two with the mountains providing a majestic vista. Afterwards, relax on the club house balcony and enjoy some refreshments. If you want to get out into the mountains, visit the nearby Kimberley Nature Park, which offers miles of forest trails perfect for mountain biking and hiking. How to get to Cranbrook

Cranbrook is served by the Canadian Rockies International Airport, which provides a convenient gateway to the Kootenay Rockies. It connects to Vancouver and Calgary airports with regular flights, so international visitors should transfer at one of these airports to continue to the Rockies. From the airport, shuttle services go direct to Cranbrook city center, most of which need to be booked in advance. Taxis and hire cars are also available at the airport. The journey to Cranbrook takes about 20 minutes. In ski season, a shuttle also goes to the Fernie resort, with a journey time of about an hour.
