With 330-acres of thrills, amusements, and a water park, Canada’s Wonderland does exactly what it says on the tin. Here you’ll find everything from kid-friendly rides to scream-inducing white knuckle coasters, such as the 125 mph Leviathan. For something more composed and cultured, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection is a must-see gallery and sculpture garden. With almost 6,000 works by the likes of Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, and First Nations, it showcases the best of Canadian talent. Kids will love Reptilia Zoo. Home to hundreds of slithery and scaly creatures, exhibits include a king cobra and Induna, the zoo’s smiling Nile crocodile. For soccer fans it doesn’t get much better than the OSA Soccer Centre. The competition and training ground boasts a 130,000 square foot indoor field. If shopping is more your game, then Vaughan Mills Mall is your mecca. Packed with brand names and lux labels, retail therapy comes accompanied with eateries and entertainment.

How to get to Vaughan

Toronto’s Pearson International Airport will be the gateway into Ontario for most visitors. From here, getting into Vaughan is a breeze. After you’ve collected your luggage make your way to the Airport Express Ticket counter in Terminal 1 arrivals and book your seats. The Airport Express shuttle comes by every 20 minutes, and will whisk you to Toronto’s Union Station. From there, catch a train on the Go Transit system’s Barrie Line, which will speed you into Vaughan’s Rutherford Station. Located in the very heart of the city, journeys should take no longer than 45 minutes.
