Hotel Halifax

Hotel Halifax

10/10 Excellent
"Even though the property is under renovation, I had everything I needed. Staff were amazing as usual and the new room design is great with two possible oversights (I’m not sure if the room design is finished). There is a lamp that blocks part of the tv you’re laying on the bed, that there are no more microwaves (or I couldn’t find it). The other oddity was that the hotel wouldn’t price match the rate I found on Expedia so I couldn’t get my BonVoy points. I even spoke to someone at front desk when I called. I’ll be back for sure, hopefully booking directly."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Halifax

  1. Book for the cheapest times: If you're looking to visit Halifax on a budget, the most affordable months are January, February, and December, when hotel prices are generally lower. For a great value for money experience, consider staying for at least 2 to 3 days. This duration allows you to fully immerse yourself in the city's rich history and culture. You can explore key landmarks such as the waterfront, enjoy live music, visit museums, and take part in historical tours. Outdoor activities like boating and walking tours also offer a fantastic way to appreciate the local art scene and vibrant dancing culture.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore last-minute deals for hotels in Halifax, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. To stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. By staying updated on price changes and availability, you're more likely to seize the opportunity for a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay in a Halifax hotel. For those seeking a distinct experience, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll recommend more affordable dates to increase your chances of finding the best deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre generally tend to be pricier, but with Halifax's outstanding public transit options, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those eager to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
