Nice Hotels

Close to the white sandy beaches and warm waters that make up the Côte d'Azur; Nice is a stylish French city that blends a beach resort with a historic and cultural destination. You'll find classic architecture dating back to the 17th century, giving this upmarket destination a distinctly royal feel, with exclusive spas and world class restaurants to be discovered. After sunset, the nightlife scene here is legendary, with the well-heeled enjoying stylish clubs and cocktail bars, as well as nights in the glamorous casinos.

Things to see

Castle Hill is the original site of Nice, and remains one of the best spots to get a view across the rooftops and out into the sparkling Mediterranean. You'll see remains of the original architecture, although much of it was dismantled by the soldiers of King Louis XIV, and what remains has been turned into a pleasant park, with palm trees and waterfalls that catch the bright sunshine. Nice Cathedral dates back to the mid 17th century, with classic examples of Baroque architecture and ornate details both inside and out. As you step inside you'll no doubt notice the high domed ceilings, and relics that have been enshrined since the cathedral was built. The Promenade des Anglais is where you can really soak up the sunshine, with white sandy beaches and turquoise seas, and along the promenade you'll see exclusive restaurants and upmarket hotels in amongst the palm trees.
