    Jungjeong-ro is a popular neighbourhood conveniently located in the southern part of Seogwipo’s urban centre. The streets of this neighbourhood are filled with local souvenir shops, street food stalls, and retailers.

    Stop by the Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market to enjoy local dishes from dozens of vendors like mandu (dumplings), tteokbokki (rice and fish cakes served in a spicy red pepper sauce), and kimbap (a wrap made of seaweed). As you get closer to the roundabout where Donghong-ro intersects, you’ll notice more clothing stores and a few popular tea houses worth checking out.

    The Seogwipo Hyangto 5-Day Market is a bustling market located about 10 minutes northeast of downtown Seogwipo by car or 20 minutes by bus. It’s easy to get to and conveniently located close to one of the major tourist attractions on the island.

    This market happens every month on the 4th, 9th, 14th, 19th, 24th, and 29th. Since this is one of the biggest markets on the island, it has over 500 vendors selling a wide variety of goods ranging from fresh local seafood, produce, spices, and baked goods to kitchen supplies, gifts, and souvenirs. Pro tip: the circular bus is free during festival seasons in Jeju and drops you off right in front of the market.

    The duty-free shops at the Jungmun Tourist Complex are the only duty-free stores open to domestic travellers on Jeju. Located about 9 km west of downtown Seogwipo, these shops are part of the larger Jungmun Tourist Complex, which has plenty of sightseeing opportunities, hotels, and a golf course.

    Shops range from famous retailers to local luxury brands. You can’t walk out of the shop with your purchases, but you can send whatever you buy to the Jeju International Airport or Jeju International Passenger Terminal to pick them up on your way home.

    This supermarket is the best ‘1-stop-shop’ on the island, making it a great place to go if you are looking to grab some essentials or just browse a large local grocery store. The 1st and 2nd floors are dedicated to shopping, while free parking is on the 3rd and 4th floors.

It's laid out like a typical grocery store, with produce towards the front and goods like electronics, clothing, household items, and toiletries towards the back.

    Since this Emart is in a great location on Jeju Island, it is often crowded on the weekends and evenings. It's a good idea to go early to avoid the crowds.
