New Jersey is perhaps best known for its close relationship with New York state, with its natural scenery and seemingly endless farmlands earning it the nickname “The Garden State”. Sandwiched between Pennsylvania and New York, you could think of most of New Jersey’s major cities as suburbs of their more famous neighbours, but you’d be selling the place very short.

The Jersey Shore has been providing a beach getaway for city folks for generations, while the forested hills of the Delaware Water Gap continue to wow with their glorious autumn colours. The cities shouldn’t be missed either, as each is packed with both fascinating history and the hum of modern industry and excitement.
