Our list of surprisingly affordable luxury hotels showcases some really amazing places you can stay for astonishingly little. Regardless of the price, every hotel on our list boasts 5-star facilities and chic, stylish décor.

The factor that brings the cost out of the eye-watering, credit card-melting range varies for each, though being a little out of town is the most common. Obviously, if you're looking to get away from it all for a spell, this will suit you perfectly. Another common contributor is being in a less-trendy country, which will appeal to those looking for something a bit different. Just take a look below and see what excites you the most.

The Royal Surakarta Heritage boasts a beautifully intricate design, first-class facilities and a fantastic location right in the heart of Surakarta City. Regardless of why you're visiting the city, The Royal Surakarta Heritage offers an incredibly comfortable stay that won't break the bank. Despite its historical décor, the building itself is very modern, with a modest swimming pool, fitness centre and spa as well as a well-regarded restaurant.
