Very nice find, but poor trusted taxi network
The stay at the hotel was quite good. The staff was friendly, the room very modern (especially the bathroom), and outside of some construction and restaurant noise (the room was near the restaurant portion) it was a solid 8.5+. Unfortunately, I entrusted the establishment to reserve a transfer for my airport return. I requested it the day before (per their request) and they called their 'trusted' (as they put it) network. The taxi came 45 minutes late. This turned me from arriving at the airport early (2.5 hours), to just late enough and I was bumped from my overbooked flight and spent a horrible extra day in Havana (the airline put me in a poor hotel...not this one to be clear which would have been nice). It's a fine hotel for the price with nice people so it's hard to write a negative review, but the hotel needs to make their partners accountable to show up on time. This lateness caused my trip to Cuba to end very negatively.
