GUDAURI LOFT, Kazbegi

Great location, very close to ski hire and ski lifts. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great, food was delicious and David, the barman makes excellent off-menu cocktails. Food for the entire table never all came out together, but that was true of every restaurant in Gudauri. Spa services were great and very affordable.

Excellent service. Easily the nicest hotel in the area. Not a lot in the town itself but if you have a car the surrounding area is spectacular.

Great hotel, with great design. Offcourse the most amazing thing in this hotel is - SPA zone, with breathtaking view from sauna and pool (edem for instagram lovers).

We did not feel welcome in the hotel. Nobody from staff was friendly or helpful. Cleaning staff were sometimes sitting alltogether (6-7 ladies) in the corridor next to our room and eating sunflower seeds!!! Is it a 4 star hotel or a market place? When cleaning the room daily, they sometimes forgot to empty the bin, it does not seem that floors or shower were cleaned at least once during the week stay! When having breakfast, you could order omlete or eggs, there is no ventilation, so all our clothes were smelling like fried onions after the breakfast. Its so appaling. There was a skirent in the first floor of hotel. You had to pass it to go to the slope. The staff there were most of the times tipsy and even not hiding drinks and snacks, which were always on the counter. The customer service from all staff was absolutely bad. We ordered the double room, but received a twin instead, when we asked they offered us to put two beds together. The swimming pool on top floor looks nice in pictures, but it smells disgusting, so most of the guests do not go there. There is very bad noise isolation. We could hear everybody in the corridor all the night long.

I liked the breakfast choices the restaurant on 2 nd floor has great vibes and music and it’s a ski in and out hotel. I did not like that some guests were very noisy late at night( (but I did not inform reception at the time of the noise)

The room was exceptionally clean and the beds were comfortable, however, there are three things I didn't like about this hotel: 1. The walls were thin. They are made up with stylish wall coverings but there's too much drywall. 2. Upon checking into our room, there were 3 light bulbs that were out. We were given a room change, which was fine, but how do 3 bulbs go unnoticed? 3. The breakfast facility is woefully understaffed. It took me 10 minutes of standing at the egg station just to get my egg order listened to. They need to fix their understaffing issue. These 3 service/comfort issues are maybe tolerable at a $75-80 hotel in a major international city, but not in rural Georgia. That said, 2 of the 3 issues are easily fixable, and I would consider staying here again, especially given how good of a job the cleaning staff seems to do. The rooms were spotless and of course, the property is right beside the ski slope, so that's appealing. The reception staff were also fine and efficient. Everyone who worked there struck me as being good at hospitality.

Overall it was as satisfactory experience. Staff was very polite and good. Family room offered to us was very comfortable. Hotel has a very dull ambiance we would have preferred it to be brighter. There is no bell boy available which we feel is a basic requirement for a 4-star hotel specially because guests need to bring their luggage from a height of 20 steps to the reception on the 4th floor. Hot water for bath gets over in a very short time and it takes long time to get re heated. Restuarant ambiance and food was good but very few options in the menu and Asian cuisines are not included. There are no activities for kids.There are no international channels or you tube on TV.

young and friendly team. rooms a little small but nice and clean. breakfast good. for the evening the restaurant a little expensive. sauna and massage good. pool clean and warm. sunbeds occupied by towels of users for long time though they are absent. jaccuzzi a bit smelly / cholrine. location excellent, from ski-locker on the piste. overall no regrets.
