Great Location for Downtown stores & restaurants
Free parking overnight on nearby street from 6pm til 9am. We only paid for meter for 8am til noon checkout time - not a big deal to us. The view from our window overlooked the town square. It was lovely.

Holiday overnighter
We were in town for one night for thanksgiving. Other than some weird police activity right by the hotel that made getting to it (which was gone by the time we parked) it was easy and nice. They have a water bottle filling station in the lobby which is great. The only issue is the layout of the bathroom. The shower door was misaligned and the shelf about the toilet was right where you could brain yourself if you leaned back. Clean, quiet, and very well located. I’d stay again.

Great hotel in downtown Santa Rosa
Friendly staff, great service, excellent location. The rooms are comfortable, the building is super interesting and the downstairs happy hour in the lobby was nice.

Great little business hotel
This is our second stay at Hotel E. It is a boutique business hotel. The rooms are small and comfortable, but not cushy by any means. There were four main issues with the room: 1. It was right above the heated patio of a large cantina which was pretty noisy. Luckily, we had late dinner reservations. But if we had needed a quiet evening it, it would have been disruptive. 2. We found someone's disposable water bottle behind the drapery, which indicates a lack of attention by housekeeping. 3. One of the prints above our bed was oddly aligned and we tried to adjust it (traveler's OCD) but discovered the print was not actually hanging on the wall, but just resting on the screws. Apparently it had been knocked down or fallen at some point and it was just propped up there. This is super dangerous in earthquake country, and housekeeping apparently never noticed it was out of alignment. We took it down for the night. 4. When we arrived, it was very cold in the room despite the heater being on. It eventually warmed up, but later, we discovered that one of the windows wasn't quite closed, with a 1-2" gap at the top. We couldn't close it, but this explains the cold and the noise from the patio below. The rest of our stay was absolutely fine and we would definitely stay again. It is a fun downtown location. The desk personnel are friendly and efficient, and the valet parking was super convenient. There is a cozy wine bar in the lobby with quality selections, which is never a bad thing.
