Luxury Suite NOT worth the money
We decided to splurge on a Luxury Suite (room 438) and, after staying in a number of hotel rooms at this price point, I can tell you that this one really fell short of the mark.
First off, the hotel was under construction - which is no big deal (I actually received an email from management prior to our arrival alerting us of this, which was nice) - but it left things a little chaotic. We were offered a welcome bag at check-in, which turned out to be a single bottle of water and a snack size bag of Doritos (?). Weird, but a nice gesture.
I will say this, at first glance, the room was stunning - big square footage, nice bar area, huge bathroom, great pool view.
We were excited about the jacuzzi tub, which was our main reason for booking the room. Upon further inspection, the tub had broken buttons, gross residue on the jets, and sediment came out with the water. Yikes. The walk-in shower, though beautiful, had black mold on the ceiling. Also, whom among us would screw a Target shower caddy to a tile wall in a luxury suite?
Plastic & foam cups were a bummer - an actual glass for our drinks would’ve been more on point. Also, no where to plug in coffee maker at the coffee bar.
The tv/cable in the bedroom was glitchy and pretty much unwatchable.
I sleep through anything, but was jarred awake at 7am by the neighbor’s shower. The water was SO LOUD.
Despite my gripes, the hotel room was nice, just needs attention. Definitely expect more from Bonvoy.
