Lovely hotel choice for Munich - absolutely Westin
This is really a wonderful grand hotel, although a little old, but nevertheless its been continuously been renovated time and again, and the best part is their service levels, so overall it makes for a great stay.. its expensive but I felt it was worth all the money.. located in a fairly central location - a short taxi ride away (not more than around 10 to 15 euro) to the absolute centre / interesting areas / English Garden (esp SeeHaus restaurant).. rooms are reasonably large, comfortable, spacious bathrooms, great levels of service, great spread of breakfast, and overall a great and enjoyable experience.. so what more could one ask for.. I had got a city facing room (any room above level 10 is great, as u get a great, panoramic, un-obstructed view of the city) from which u can see as far as the eye can see - very enjoyable.. only a slight blemish - with regards to my check out, but that shod not spoil an otherwise great stay.. I loved it overall.. expect to see a lot of airline crew but that shod hardly bother u.. its surely a great hotel choice..

    Good 6.0
    Good but need to improve
Wifi in the room is not for free even when paying >300EUR a night !! Air conditioning was not working properly but could be fixed. shower bar was leaking....a 5star hotel need to pay more attention to details. Windows are not 100% noise proof especially when the room is exposed to the highway. Nice breakfast.

Charging for WiFi - welcome to 1998
Comfortable, but no free wifi like every other place on the planet. No video on demand services on the TV either.

    Poor 2.0
A focus on cash without any service
I asked for a quite room and was given a room overlooking a road next to the lift shaft. The phone in the room was broken -so I had to order room service by calling reception (they brought the wrong food) - I personally took it down to reception to complain as could not call room service. Then to cap it all on checkout the initially refused to remove it from the bill and only after a heated argument was it removed - an appslibg level of customer service.

    Everything's good, but the housekeepers...
Everything was good! Except that the housekeeper, when 3 hours before I had to check out, knocked and "open" my door to ask me when would I wanna check out, and I was totally naked then and have to get the robe to put on in a rush. Isn't that a bit unprofessional? Shouldn't they suppose that I'd check out on the promised time?

    Very nice!
Hotel was great. A bit out of the city but 8 stops on the Underground train and we were at Marienplatz. And it was super easy to get there! So really, not a big deal. But our bed sheets did have a stain on it and so did the bed skirt. I would expect more for a hotel like this! We didn't say anything because we were tired and just wanted to sleep. No free wifi, which i am acustomed too in nice hotels like this! That was very disappointing!
