Good location and family oriented
We came here to Detroit to see the Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Wonderful building, Pool and gym. Everyone seemed to be having a great time especially the kids. Having the mall close by a big asset as well as the proximity to the Ford Museum/Greenfield Village. Liked the souvenir shop and staff very friendly. Do your homework with maps and info. as signs and help hard to find. Hotel is huge and check in took some time. Found lack of luggage carts and Portico intimidating so I carried my own from parking lot. We really enjoyed or stay in this landmark hotel.

Good hotel from which to visit The Henry Ford.
We had 3 nights here so we could visit some of the sights in the Detroit area. The hotel looked very smart (used for conferences). Some things eg corridor carpet are beginning to look worn. The Wi-Fi was very poor, practically unuseable. We had noise from the next room, through the interconnecting door and also from outside the room whenever near doors were opened or closed. The reception lady tried to be helpful but seemed to have limited knowledge about Detroit (which I suppose is the next town). For us the position, near the Ford museum and a reasonably short drive to the Mowtown and the African/American museums were the most important factors.

Beauty with a blemish
Love this hotel and it's rapid elevators. Helpful staff. Rooms are very large with convenient second sink. Room is missing a fridge and ours could use new toilet seat.

Great place!
Was good overall, don't let the complaints steer you away. People complained about the minor little things. Great hotel, very nice atmosphere and nice service. Only con I would say is that the jacuzzi was out of order during my stay and the pool was really cold for an indoor pool. Other than that amazing hotel

Ok for the price
Great lobby, but rooms leave a bit to be desired. The hotel has some age to it, and it shows in a variety of ways. For the right price, I would stay here again, but I would certainly look for other options.
