I stayed at this property because it was hosting the conference I was attending and had a great experience. That being said, I would not likely return to this location if I were in Dallas for other reasons as it felt a bit isolated amongst the freeway and tracks. And other guests indicated that they were advised not to walk around in the area or through the tunnels for safety reasons.

I really had high expectations of the Hyatt. Looks lovely when you first arrive. Our bathroom shelf under the sink had short dark curly hairs on it. Housekeeping showed up early to clean our room but we had just woken up. We left a short while later and didn’t come back until 6 pm and our room had not been entered. Garbage was full, bed unmade, no water or clean facecloths/ towels. We told the front desk and they advised housekeeping was done for the day but they would see what they could do. Unacceptable! Someone showed up to empty the garbage and leave water. Bed covers were thrown ovet. Towels/ facecloth taken out but not replaced. Tea and cups not replenished. Doidappointed with the service.

    Rude Front Desk Staff

You have very inconsistent policy.some of the front desk staff were rude. The people from housekeeping and security were the nicest- they should learn from them.

The building is beautiful and well kept. The people are friendly. We were given a room upgrade. I don’t think it was very busy the weekend we were there because it was Thanksgiving weekend. Our room seemed newly renovated and was very nice. The fitness room was good. What I didn’t like was the location of the hotel. Downtown Dallas was a bit sketchy. There were many homeless people and people begging. There was a visible police and security presence but the security people did not look like they were in good enough shape to do much if anything happened. We were reluctant to go walking and had to rely on Uber to take us where we wanted to go. That’s being said, every Uber driver we had was super friendly. Because we were nervous to walk around, we were forced to eat in the hotel more than we would have liked and found it expensive but very good.
