This time the bathtub was new and clean looking whereas other times the bathtub were not so clean looking as they were quite old, I guess. The staff there name Roman at the reception was very good who offered me prompt services. Furthered there were times the table in the room was dirty and sticky so that I HAD TO CLEAN myself.

Lux hotel in a great location

This place was so luxurious but for an affordable price. The breakfast buffet was worth every penny. They have multiple onsite restaurants. Just know they close around 8:30 or 9 pm. The rooms were fantastic. The only issues were the beds were very hard and the elevator doors don't seem to have sensors. They close very fast and they closed on me and other people multiple times so you basically have to jump on to make it.

Good hotel that could have been Excellent

Service, location, convenience rated Excellent in my books, but I rated it an overall Good because the rooms definitely need to be updated. I imagine this hotel was the shining jewel of Shinjuku when it opened in 1971, but the sparkle has left since then. You can't beat the amenities, numerous restaurant options (quite expensive though), but the dated and almost faded tan color palette of the room decor made it feel old. With so many hotel options, there is no reason why Keio cannot reclaim its status of years' past. The 7/11 too was a god-send for quick and cheap snacks and tasty Japanese foods.

Service, food, cleaningness all gone downhill

Keio has been one of our top choice whenever we visit Tokyo for the past 30yrs. It was also my father's hotel of choice decades ago. But our recent stay at Keio found them to have changed. The hallway outside our room has the dirt since check-in and after a few days when we checked out of the hotel the dirt still there. TThe other room across from us had 'in-room dining' and the push cart has been sitting in the hallway all night long (730pm to 10am) and nobody from the hotel has retrieved the cart back yet. Our favorite buffet... disasterous. Used to be my must have but looked like this visit was my last as they drastically cut cost (alot less food choice) while bumping up the price.
