Dirtier and Older than Expected.
The rooms are old and dirty. The shower had mold, the toilet had a mild sewer oder, the door lock did not unlock easily, the bottom of the door was bent (from past customers trying to kick the door open when the lock would not open), the TV did not work well and there was a spider in our room. The breakfast was good, the staff was nice and the location was convenient but I would not rate this as "good." I would rate this as fair. or 5.5 out of 10.

For the price we were very well pleased. Service from the front desk was excellent and warm and friendly. Extra coffee pods supplied cheerfully. No complaints about anything except the location of our room was next to the air conditioners for the whole area, making it unattractive for entrance/exit and a bit noisy. A room a couple of doors down would have been preferable.

Disappointing and dirty
It's an older hotel so already expectations were somewhat low. However, there was a gap at the bottom of the room's door that opens to the outside big enough for me to stick my hand through. The floor had hair, dirt, and even paper scraps on it. We didn't feel comfortable walking barefoot. The bed had sheets and a thin blanket with no extra bedding in the room. There were only 2 towels and room service never came during our 2 night stay. Continental breakfast was extremely disappointing but at least the coffee was hot so that's something.

Hidden Gem!
I stay at Hillside Crossing every time I visit Nashville. The location is perfect! Just a couple exits from the airport and about a 7 minute uber ride from Broadway. The staff is so friendly and kind, they always go above and beyond for their guests. The rooms, the lobby, and the grounds are always very clean. My favorite thing about this hotel is the huge gym they have on site. I also love that they have a laundry area for guests on site. It's great for extended stays. The outdoor pool, game room and theatre room are a nice added touch as well. There is an Irish restaurant/pub next door that has some delicious food. The breakfast on the weekends is amazing! I will always stay here when I visit the Nashville area.
