Great spot but bad parking.
The only complaint is parking. The hotel needs to issue parking passes for guests to park in the lot and two others. Restaurant people can Uber or street park.

We were pleasantly surprised that inspire of the industrial look of the building it was actually very quaint and. Functional property. Convenient to Black Barbeque and a food truck park. We would stay again. However, there is not free coffee in the room.

Nice hotel
Very nice hotel. The only negatives were the bed was low to the ground and the bathroom sink was very small. The room seems like it used to be a parking garage that they turned into a hotel room. They Left the ceiling and parts of the wall as exposed cement. I feel like they should have painted the ceiling. Kinda felt like I was sleeping in a dungeon. There was a dog daycare right outside the hotel so we heard dogs barking in the morning. But the hotel was nice and clean . I would recommend to stay there if the price is right. I only stayed one night.

Amazing hotel
So, I have to say that I wasn't expecting to love this hotel as much as I did. The hotel felt very Austin while still have quality in the linens and decoration and amenities. They had the cutest items in the reasonably priced minibar. I loved the house brand toiletries that you could also purchase downstairs. We ate at the restaurant that was downstairs and it was shockingly good. I really have zero complaints about the Carpenter and will definitely stay here again.
