    Nice,but...
Nice little boutique hotel in DC.Room very generous and clean, overall quiet but street construction nearby.Food at restaurant ok, breakfast room service average.Rooftop pool small with wired closing time 4pm!!!

Very nice hotel, comfortable but service sometimes rude and no smile! Danny Boy was so nice with us! When we left the guy at the desk was rude, the computer was out of service, he supposed to send us our bill, we still waiting!! At the restaurant, we had one host who was very rude with us. At the Happy hour, they served us wine in plastic cup and the other people had glasses. But Danny Boy saved the honor!!

    Great hotel, but ...
Great hotel. Only complaints are that the rooftop pool closed at 4:00pm everyday and the surprise “resort fee” upon checkout after having thought we’d already pre-paid for the stay. Not a great last impression.

    Almost five stars
Hotel itself is great, other than the elevators being quite busy. Also, they put a 125 dollar per night pre-authorization charged on your credit card, which is way higher than anywhere I've ever stayed (and totally unnecessary). The staff was helpful though, and it was comfortable there. A bit far from the National Mall, but plenty to do in the neighborhood.

Great Location but current renovation not worth it
Overall - location was great...beds were not that comfortable and each morning we were awakened by hammering and construction at 730AM due to their renovations. Also we were charged $25 a day for hotel amenities yet the amenities were all closed due to the renovation of the hotel

    First Class!!
When you pay a little more for a hotel, you expect more from the room. And the Mason & Rook more than delivered! Modern huge room, large bathroom, big TV and clean and comfortable bed. And great location. All together made for a great stay.

Great location, very comfortable room. The only bad thing is the breakfast! It is not up to the hotel standard!

    Great Hotel. Not Great Service
It’s tough because the hotel was under construction when I went. Knowing that, I understood there were certain amenities that I could not enjoy but I was ok with that. I also did not realize prior to my booking that DC does not allow rooftop access during the winter season. I must admit that I would not have likely booked at that particular hotel had i known about the construction and rooftop limitations. So I had to accept that prior to checking in. Honestly, from there, I was disappointed with the service I received and even minor issues with the room. It’s too long of a story to type but the blinds were broken, the light switch plate was not screwed in and one of the lamps did not work. There was also an issue with the reservation. I immediately went back down to let them know. While they were responsiv The troubling part

It is under construction so the restaurant & bar were closed. The room & location are nice.
