Not what I expected from a Delta Hotel
This is the 3rd year in a row we have stayed here for the Winnipeg Wine Festival, and likely the last. Check-in was quick and easy, and front desk staff pleasant. We were offered a room upgrade that was alleged to be a superior room, with premium bedding, a balcony view, and breakfast buffet in a "Club Room", with complimentary coffee, tea, and soft drinks available 24hrs. In fact the room was the same King type we had booked originally. The balcony view was a construction site, and was unusable. The Club Room 's refreshments consisted of a few cans of soda (non-diet) or bottles of water in a barely functioning cooler, no milk, cream, or diabetic friendly sweeteners for coffee until the morning. The A/C unit woke us up repeatedly with thunking noises until we turned it off, and being downtown opening the balcony door wasnt an option, and so our night was not the pleasant evening we had expected. the final straw was the sad "Buffet" breakfast which ended up being the only benefit of our paid "upgrade". The "buffet" consisted of a continental breakfast, with smoothies available, and a tray of crumbly, watery scrambled eggs, and a tray of soggy bacon literally swimming in 1/2" of grease at the bottom of the tray. We ended up going of the hotel to get breakfast. We were certainly misled as to this "upgrade"

Nice stay except for the pool
Overall we were satisfied except that the pool was closed for most of the stay. We were there for 4 nights and it was open for only one of those stays. They offered shuttle service to another hotel to use their pool. Not very convenient. I guess you can't control what other guests do in the pool.
