Everything was great except for a guest managed to get a key to our room and walked in on us one night. The front desk attendant helped us out and gave us new keys right away.

The review explains it all.
The hotel was warming when you stepped in. Upon going into the room it was a little small, there was just some dust(no big deal) but also the fridge wasn’t an actual fridge it was just for drinks (so it barely stayed at room temperature) so anything I brought with me perished from not being refrigerated. On top of that the balcony has no roof over head so in order to enjoy the balcony I either needed to pay $25 to the room for the in room umbrella or walk to a store. Also they completely over charged me for room service and automatically add a 20% tip. The ABSOLUTE WORST THING ABOUT THIS TRIP WAS THE FACT THAT THE FIRE STAIRCASE WAS BLOCKED ON EACH FLOOR WITH THE MAID CARTS !!! THIS IS SO EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND ILLEGAL AND THIS WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT BE THE LAST TIME THIS IS HEARD.

Great location unfortunately the rest was a fail.
The location was great. They were late to get me checked in.. I arrived at 9 AM I know check-in is not until three I had been up all night had an early flight. I booked this specifically through your site because they said they had rooms available now. Upon checkiN, I asked for a bigger room the girl didn’t know how to upgrade me. I offered to pay for it. It took her 20 minutes to find a manager to figure out how to do this/ so I could get a bigger room. I wanted to rest no.sleep.. I flew to for one day for a class at 5:00 To attend and want to unwind take a shower etc. they did not get me in my place until after 4 o’clock the woman at check N said that they would waive the facility fee for the inconvenience etc.Gave me a breakfast voucher. At check out I received a bill that charged me for not one but two days for the facility fee and taxes etc. I would not stay there again. Reason being not the inconvenience of not being able to get to my room but the staff at check-in was uneducated on how to accommodate a guest. I pestered them to get in a room. they could’ve put me in another place and let me rest since my room was not ready. Also when I did get checked into my room, it was dirty, and it smelled like a public restroom it wreaked of urine in the bathroom mainly it was overpowering It was so disgusting that I gagged the girl at check-in was visibly sick and with the coronavirus going around I think it’s bad business practices to let sick employees work. The bed horrible

Potential to be a hidden gem
The front desk was fab. Cute, chic, small rooms. Beds are comfy but small. Rooms are small. We had trouble with the air unit. I am different and need it cold all the time but after two different engineers it was still acting weird. Thankfully the cold outside helped cool it inside but when it got hotter the last two days of our trip it was hot at night inside. Our shower leaked from day 1. The engineer immediately came up and replaced a strip. It continued to leak. We used almost all our towels after just 1 person showered each time. There was no door hanger for house keeping. House keeping never left the right amount of towel sets. We always had to call for more wash rags etc. Since the rooms are not carpet we assumed they would at least sweep but they didn’t and didn’t take the trash out this one particular day not to mention the horrible bed making they did (One bed wasn’t made which was expected because I didn’t clean my bed off). The lighting in the rooms and bathrooms are dark. It’s not bad if you like dim but for applying make up it’s hard. The front desk was always friendly and prompt. It was really just housekeeping and the structural issues we had problems with. The walls are thin. Dining area is cute. Great location.

Awesome Location; Decent Hotel; A Few Nitpicks
Hotel Henri is in a perfect location for exploring Manhattan and the rest of New York City. It's close to subways and within walking distance to many attractions, great bars and restaurants, and shopping. The resort fee is low and includes Wifi, free water bottles, and passes to a nearby gym. The staff was super nice and check in and check out were a breeze. The room (King on the 17th Floor) was big for a Manhattan hotel room. I was traveling alone, but it was plenty large enough for two people and had an actual small entryway which I love in hotel rooms because you can leave shoes or wet items there without tracking everything in the main area. Also, the floor was some sort of composite and not carpet. Great! There were a few things, though, that bothered me: 1. The heat/AC was LOUD. I am a heavy sleeper, but whenever the unit came on, I was startled awake. Also, I think the cleaning crew or staff at the rooftop bar used the nearby stairwell for storage and both their voices and the noise of them doing their work were loud. I could deal with this and I eventually got used to the AC/Heating unit, but if you're a light sleeper, no bueno. 2. Very limited counter space in the bathroom and the shower curtain wasn't long enough. There was also an odd random tile above the sink which didn't bother me but seemed suspiciously out of place 3. Dark flakes fell from the heating/AC unit constantly and weren't swept the day I asked for housekeeping to come in.
