This is one of the better hotels I have stayed at in Washington DC, it is painless to get there from Reagan airport using the Metro and there is a well lit and convenient access to the hotel from inside Metro Center station. The museums are comfortably in walking distance and the immediate area is safe a night. The rooms are large and modern and there are a lot of elevators for meaning little waiting. However the hotel was very noisy on Saturday night and this is the latest DC hotel to introduce a resort fee which is justified by a list that is substantially made up of discounts for services nobody is likely to want or services included as standard at most hotels.

Nice hotel and good location, but my sheets were stained which is not acceptable. The air conditioning was not working properly. They also charge a destination fee of $20 per day which was not included on the reservation from Expedia but written in the reservation only in fine print.

it is located at the heart of Washington. It is walking distance to many important landmarks. There are lot of good eating joints around the hotel too so that customers can enjoy a variety of food with minimum commute. Reasonably priced.

It was convenient walking distance to major sites, rooms were clean, customer service was very good. Only issue was that the hotel has the subway station unit and their is some homelessness around the area.

We love everything about this hotel. Everyone was so helpful and so friendly. Our room was great and the view was beautiful. It was a great location and we felt very safe. We parked across the road in the underground parking for $20 a night (that was much better then the price for the hotel parking) there was also a resort fee that we had to pay that was not listed when booking the room. This was our first time in Washington, DC and I would highly recommend staying at the Grand Hyatt. Sandra 🇨🇦

I stayed at this property Aug 2 to 5, 2019. My issues is that the property added a Destination fee which was not adequately disclosed nor where the services allegedly included in the destination free provided to me during the stay. In specific, when I booked and at check in, I was not informed of the destination fee, what it covered or how much it would be. I found out about the destination fee at check-out. The destination fee allegedly includes: • Heathy snacks in front lobby and fitness center - there we absolutely no snacks available. • 24 hour fitness center access- • Discount of 10% off from Old-twon Trolley Tours • Discount of $31 to 65 with Luxury Town Car Transport to and from airport • Discount of $70 at Awards Limo Private Tours • Discount of 15% with Bike and Segway tours • Pre-loaded Metro card • Luggage storage at Bell stand • Daily newspaper • Washingtonian magazine • Digital newspaper • Google Chromecast in your room • High speed internet • Bottled water - 2 complementary bottles daily • %10 dollars credit for in-room service for food from their restaurant called Cure. The cost is $20 dollars mandatory per night plus taxes = total about $22.50 daily extra added to your room charge for the above services. At check-out I was surprised to be told the Hotel had add $69 dollars to my stay for the 3 nights of stay. Naturally I was surprised. They told me I "should have asked" for these services if I wanted them. But I should not have to ask for a billed service

    Night before July 4th

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was extremely helpful, room was clean, very nice facility. Great restaurant across the street. There was a significant language barrier with the evening valet however, which was a bit frustrating. He smiled and nodded when clearly he didn't understand English. The morning valet was excellent. Suggest that if it's not a holiday, perhaps seek parking down the street to save the $60 valet+ tip.

location was central... walking distance to all things. Staff was not the best at service... all things promised was not received. NO POOL as EXPEDIA had outlined. Great location, if you don't need anything but a room. No microwave or refrigerator was given. the Staff and MGMT does nothing about issues or complaints though.
