I had a lovely stay at this hotel! The staff I spoke with were all helpful and polite, everyone I smiled at smiled back hahaha. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the indoor pool and thought the hammock was a quirky and fun touch, even though I didn’t lay and take a swing on it. My only complaint I really have is that there wasn’t a hot tub, how spoiled right? I truly enjoyed that the hotel is a walking distance to a museum, ten to fifteen minutes is what I spent getting there. I utilized that path during the day and night and it was a beautiful walk every time. I will be returning.

A very good hotel and I will likely stay there on my next trip to Toronto. I arrived early and was told that I could check in an hour and a half early at 1:30, or pay a $40 fee. I opted to wait until 130 and had lunch in the restaurant. Food prices were very reasonable and the quality and variety was good. Not gourmet food, but very sufficient. The staff was consistently friendly, and the housekeeping service was great. The hotel is about a $10-$15 Uber ride to downtown which was great for me. One thing I liked a lot, was when I checked out there was a discrepancy with my bill and the front desk clerk immediately resolve the issue without drama. The pools looked inviting, but I forgot my bathing suit, but appreciate that there was both an outdoor and indoor pool.

The hotel was in a great location! It has an amazing restaurant and multiple pools! The bathroom fixtures were very low and the WiFi didn’t work well. Other than that it was a good hotel.

The hotel building itself is old, but clean. The bed was comfortable. I was able to adjust the heat and the heater, although old, was efficient and not too noisy. Parking is available. The cost is very reasonable. My 2nd stay at this hotel.

10/10 Exceptional

Check in was quick. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Washroom was clean and well supplied with toiletries. One downside is the parking. I was told there was a charge for parking and what I heard was $15 and in fact it was $50 plus tax. The parking rate far exceeds most parking rates charged by most downtown Toronto hotels. That was disappointing and will play into my choice of hotel for next Toronto trip.

Excellent stay at Don Valley. The rooms are spacious, the staff is incredibly kind, and the breakfast is simple and yet delicious. Contrary to what I read in other reviews for this hotel, I found a comfortable bed and pillows and an excellent shower. The location was perfect because I had an appointment 1km away, and I also found an astonishingly beautiful park to jog in the morning just 2km away. I am very glad I chose to stay at this hotel and I would come back to it whenever I need to stay in this part of Toronto.

Stayed one night to celebrate our anniversary. Initial impression of the hotel was good. Clean, not extravagant, but decorated enough. Check in was efficient and the check in clerk was friendly. Nice size pool and good amount of beach chairs available outside. Our room was clean. I like that they leave a disinfectant wipe by the remote for you to give it a once over. Toiletries provided smelled nice. Our only issue really was the quality of the bathroom. The tub floor felt like a water bed when we stepped into the shower. You could hear the water trapped underneath swishing under your feet..you could also see some of the finishes we're very sloppy(peeling wallpaper, thick caulking along the ceiling creases, cracked shower tiles, toilet handle would also get stuck when flushing). Overall, the room served its' purpose and for the price paid and proximity to where we were spending our evening, we're content with our experience.
