    Profile: Downtown Cincinnati

    Profile: Downtown Cincinnati

Downtown Cincinnati is the city’s red-blooded heart, where the sporting action of the Cincinnati Reds is only rivaled by the drinking prowess of the locals in the Brewery District. You can venture underground in some of the breweries to explore cavernous cellars and forgotten saloon bars. Perhaps you’ll re-emerge in the Underground Railway – the immersive, historic exhibit at the Freedom Center.

Well the lady at the front desk told me Yes I had to carry my own stuff from the parking garage when I asked because I seen others getting help from the bell man… after we carried it all inside and I asked The bell man myself e finally helped us the rest of the way and nobody told me we had to pay for parking despite the 400 we paid for our stay and I didn’t have the money in my account to pay to get my car out so we had to walk to add money to our account just to retrieve our vehicle ans I feel like they should have informed us not to mention the charging of 3$ per bottle of water if u opened it after paying all that that was not right… other then those things we had a good stay

      Needs Reno Badly

The staff were very nice and helpful but this hotel is TIRED. I love historic hotels but the building itself and especially the rooms need extensive updating. My friend mentioned this is the worst he has ever seen a Hilton look.

You pay for the name and nothing more!

At a glance the hotel looks fabulous. Unfortunately that it not what the rooms/suites look like. I'll start with the bathrooms. Old shower curtain, faucets were old and had grime around the base. The toilet literally looked like it belonged in a McDonald's bathroom. Bathtub was really small and again the liner was OLD. The beds were comfy but again the linens were old and were too big for the beds. Carpet was not vacuumed, waste baskets had no bags and the air/heat was hard to set. I was confused as to why the pool was not available because of COVID but patrons were not wearing masks and hotel staff did not address it at all. Overall our stay was ok. The location is perfect because there is plenty of fine dining within walking distance.

Room was not very clean even though it had a sanitized sticker in it. Desk had a piece of candy stuck to it. Bathroom tile was filthy!

      Not what I expected

This was my second trip to Cincy in the last month to go to a Reds game this season. Last trip, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency. This month I decided to stay here since it was closer to the ballpark. The stay was over $50 more expensive and I liked the Hyatt Regency better in every way than here. The room was much smaller. The bathroom was very cramped. There wasn't a nightstand on each side of bed so couldn't plug in my phone and use it like I normally do since it was on other side of room. The $50 resort credit got me a couple packages of M&Ms, couple bottles of water, couple cold cut sandwiches because the restaurant was only open for dinner and well we were at the game during dinner time. By time we got back, we had to order Paps John's. The pillows were all "soft" and I need firm so it was just an uncomfortable night with poor sleep. The service was good. The room was clean. The location was fine. But I will go back to Hyatt Regency when I go to another game.

Great location to walk to Reds game or Bengals. No hot water in room 1232 for 2 days. Ok for hand washing and shaving but not hot enough to take a shower.
