Nice hotel and great rooftop pool with a breath-taking view of Nice. Breakfast was very good. Located in a quiet area but walkable to the beach and shopping. This is a pet friendly hotel so wasn't too thrilled about the carpeted rooms. Friendly staff.

Location was very good, four blocks from the Promenade. The room, though, small had been redecorated nicely. Lobby staff was terrific making recommendations and helping with directions and transportation.

A nice hotel in Nice.
We booked this hotel based on recommendation in Rick Steves travel book (2019). It is an older hotel with very good accomodations, but like most hotels, you need to do some homework to get the room you want and need. I asked for a quiet room on a high floor away from the elevator. Unknown to us, our room was adjacent to the doorway for the stairwell up to the 8th rooftop bar/restaurant (very nice that) and down to lower floors. The doors were massive and slammed shut with every passage through. I won't rate the hotel below very good because of this, but a lesson learned. It's location is excellent and the new restaurant just across the road from its entrance proved to be excellent in all respects. Bottom Line: very good

overall - not great. Would not recommend
When we first checked in the lobby looked nothing as mentioned / shown in pictures. It looks kind of old and cheap. Then we were arranged to a room that looks completely different from what the pictures shown. It’s old, has a 80’s American motel vibe and decor instead of clean and modern shown on the pictures. The shower curtains had a funky smell and the windows were basically all blocked by the “sign” or gate the hotel has outside. I then talked to the hotels.com staff and they helped us to reflect it to the hotel and arranged us to move to another floor which finally looks like the photos they have. The service though was honestly not that impressive. When arranging the rooms, the staff didn’t even bother explaining or apologising but rather just said “here’s your room key”. We also called the front desk and asked for some utensils but they said we have to go get it ourselves.
