Too expensive for a hot, horrible, miserable stay

I’ve stayed here in the past and had few problems. The decor is outdated and the upkeep is so so but the cost was solid for the location. However, this trip was the worst. Our bathroom wasn’t clean, there was a thick layer of dust on top of the lamps, and the sink in the kitchenette didn’t work. Worst of all the AC didn’t work, and the temp had been in the upper 80s. We managed the first night because it was cool outside and could live the balcony door open. Went to the desk the next morning to let them know and they told me they’d take care of it. Spent the day out for work and came back to the room sitting at 76 degrees. They didn’t come to fix it, went to the desk, they sent someone up and it worked long enough to bring the temp to 70 in the room before it gave out and it was back up to 74 by 3am. I even asked if there was a box fan we could use but was told they wouldn’t do that (not that it wasn’t available). Told them again upon checkout and just got “ok.” There was no attempt to refund even a small portion of our miserable stay or offer anything for the discomfort. I was incredibly disappointed and won’t stay again. Please consider somewhere else if you’re in the heat of summer (photo of thermostat).
