We had a great time in Portland, and a lot of it due to Pineapple Hotel. There were three things we looked at when booking a 3 night stay; location, gym, and bikes and pineapple hit all the spots.

Wonderful place to stay in Portland!
We booked 3 rooms at this property and our family had an amazing stay at this adorable boutique hotel. Everything from check in, to customer service from the entire team, to room cleanliness, complimentary water and one canned drink per guest, accommodations and property amenities. We are especially thankful for Damian (front desk) and Bill (GM). We had some minor issues that were handled immediately- they were both so professional and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Our family really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again in the near future. We highly recommend this hotel- it is the absolute cutest with it's everything pineapple decor and mascot husky dog, Dash everywhere on site! My children love it- said it's one of their favorite hotels! =) One downfall was that we had some obstructed view to our waterfront view since the city was setting up large tents for a big event next weekend. This was not the hotels fault, by any means. We still got to enjoy the view. There is a fun, rather large Farmers Market every Saturday that was really nice to visit. We are centrally located and walking distance to a lot of stores and close to the bridge and freeway. We did not have any pets but were super impressed at how the property was kept up, as there was no evidence or smell of pets left behind. So much more wonderful things to state, but I could go on and on. Just stay here during your visit- we highly recommend it!

Tiny rooms
If you are a single traveler with 1 suitcase, this is a great choice. When you have multiple suitcases (for a month-long trip), a dog & it's kennel, and a mobility scooter...not so much. The room (not including bathroom) was TINY. Made even tinier by clunky furnishings that took up almost all the floor space. I had to park my scooter out in the hall. We didn't dare leave any luggage in the car, once we saw all the unhomed people near the hotel, and read reports of cars being broken into. (The $20/day parking fee doesn't include any security.) Also, I am not fond of paying double the advertised rate, after.all the extra fees are tacked on. Just be honest...your "amenities" (e.g. internet) are included in the price of most hotels. The good stuff: very friendly staff (esp Kennedy)! And the shower gel (etc) offered have a very nice scent! We do appreciate that they allow dogs, and we are fine with that fee.
