Just ok.
This room was very old and tired, but the bathroom was good: nice amenities and great towels. I've stayed in larger, higher end rooms at this hotel before, so I know they have them - choose carefully.

Quite a value in Tokyo!
The Hyatt Regency is an older hotel, dating from the 1980s, and has some of the characteristics of hotels from that era (extremely wide passageways, very limited electrical outlets in the room, ice machine in the hallway), but it's still a terrific hotel with very attentive staff. We were given vouchers for free breakfast or lunch for two, each day of our stay, and the restaurants in this hotel are terrific (especially the Japanese restaurant at breakfast). Simply the meals provided made the Hyatt Regency a terrific value. The room also had free WiFi, which should be mandatory in business hotels but isn't. Not being nickeled-and-dimed to death for basics like WiFi was very much appreciated. The location near Shinjuku Station and Tokyo City Hall was perfect. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to take guests to and from the station (a 15-minute walk or a five-minute shuttle ride), and is also located close to several subway lines.

Spacious and Quiet hotel
Room was very comfortable and much larger than typical Tokyo rooms. Bed was very comfortable and provided for a restful sleep. Bathroom was clean, and well lit. Only complaint was with the towels and bath robe (very rough against the skin and not comforting whatsoever). Hotel was excellent stay for last two nights in Tokyo as it provided a nice spacious get away from the busy city, and hotel location was very relaxing (beside a park, and across the Tokyo Metro Gov buildings). Overall, this is a great hotel if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku, and are in need of large, clean and comfortable rooms.

Perfect for traveling solo
I was really happy with the hotel overall, but what was a real treat was the fact that there is a convenience store as well as a metro stop right underneath the hotel. Perfect after a long week of travel and the service was top notch. The room itself was clean and quiet and easy to get to other parts of the city.
