Trip Down Memory Lane
My wife and I stayed at your hotel back in 1992 or 1993 when we were still dating. We always wanted to return but our life dictated other things. We booked the Jr Suite (311?) online, and front desk staff upgraded us to 701. What a nice gesture. We did find the 7th floor a bit dated and tired, and wonder what the lower floor looked like as we seem to recall the hotel being more luxurious. In hindsight, we probably would have kept the original room. The lady (elderly lady with long blonde hair?) was sweet and even offered to check the hotel archives as to the exact date we stayed in 1992/1993. It is our 25th anniversary this August and Hotel Sorrento was on our list down memory lane. We were also pleasantly surprised that King5Evening also showcased your (“Our” Sorrento) a few episodes ago. Our room 701 had a great balcony, but it was too cold outside to enjoy. There was a lot of bird droppings. Perhaps more greenery in the spring and summer would make it more inviting. The bathroom tap was in need of fixing as it was loose. Otherwise the room was comfortable, the bedding is exquisite, furnishing is a little sparse for the size of the room (perhaps a loveseat and coffee table?). We will definitely come back but would be curious what room we stayed in as we recall a walk-in shower instead of a tub and I think we overlooked towards Pike Place, but my recollection may be somewhat inaccurate. See you next time.

Old School Cool
What an amazing old building this is! Updated but not modernized in just the right way. Great service. Restaurant and room service are top notch. Location is a bit challenging if you like to explore on foot but it's not terrible.
