I had booked a king room well in advance and check in is at 4:00pm. When we arrived at the hotel at 4:20, I was informed there were no king rooms available, that they had sold out, and asked if I wanted a double queen room.
I informed them that as I had booked the room and paid for the room in advance, I expected a king room. I was then given a king room. So why are they telling the people that have booked and paid for a specific room, that they have no rooms available?? Why are they overbooking? If they book rooms and sell out, why continue to take additional bookings when they have no rooms left? Makes no sense to me. Bottom line, if I book a room and they show there are several still available at the time of my booking, I expect to get the room I paid for, especially, as the room is not cheap after resort fees and parking fees.
On top of all that, they need to stop ushering self parking guests out from under the drive up. We paid for the hotel, paid for parking and when my husband drove up to the drop off/pick up so that we could load our luggage into the vehicle, the valet said he couldn't stay there. Seriously??? You better believe I made sure the valet knew we were staying exactly where we parked so that we could also be given the courtesy of loading our luggage into the vehicle. Since when is the drop off and pick area only for valet? The hotel needs to train their valet staff on being courteous to all guests that have paid to stay at this hotel.
