Minneapolis Double Tree and what they stand for.
I was shocked how little my care and comfort were taken into account. I was charged $30 to park for the evening to stay at your hotel. Next time I will make a reservation for my vehicle as well as myself. Just kidding, there will not be a next time at Double Tree Minneapolis. The air conditioning in the room did not work. I later found a number of reviews noting the air conditioning hasn’t worked for quite some time in a number of rooms so the hotel is aware of the problem and does not care to resolve the issue. This was apparent to me upon checking out when I informed the front desk and they ignored my comment just as the repairs of the air conditioning have been. The coffee maker did not work in the room did not work. The ice machine on our floor did not work. You would think the outrageous parking ramp fee for each guest would allow the hotel to afford a repair person, but apparently it is solely to take advantage of the guests. If I had to mention a positive I am thankful the toilet worked so that my steaming excrement didn’t have to spend the night in the room with me. Thank you for allowing me to flush, which is probably what you will do with my comments and probably what the paying public will do with that hotel. Horrible experience! Atrocious!

Great hotel downtown
Great hotel downtown. We attended events at both Target Field and US Bank Stadium and both were easily walkable. There were also plenty of food and drink options in the area. The hotel was very accommodating and provided me with a late checkout when I had a later flight and stored my luggage for me until I had to go to the airport.

Stayed with friends for a convention. Check in was good, the rooms were spacious. The bathroom was small, but that wasn't an issue. The only negative was the pillows were uncomfortable. Breakfast was delicious

So overpriced and So underwhelmed
How disappointing. We were staying for a work conference downtown. But never again. From the start the front desk employees were rude, a smashed front door and no security in the very small and overpriced parking ramp. The “free” Wi-Fi is unsecure and could not connect to ANY business line without several caution messages for viruses. No real cable, no guide option on tv. Not one attempt from housekeeping and we were here 3 nights. It was SO hot in here and no option to control the temp. Had to sleep with the window open in the winter and on a Very loud and busy street. Asked the front desk to turn temp down and they laughed and said it was an old building. A fire alarm went off one day at 3pm. After gathering our stuff and walking down 6 flights of stairs, which lead outside, in a snowstorm, we went to the lobby and were asking the staff what was going on. They laughed rudely and said “it’s fine”. Hmm. Ok. After reading the reviews recently shame on me and I’m terrified that I’ll never see the $300 deposit. So overpriced and underwhelmed. Yuck. Spend a few dollars more and go elsewhere.

Lady at front desk very friendly and helpful. Stations on t.v. went off the air for some reason. For a high end place no extras. Such as pool for the kids, breakfast, etc. But very secure and clean. And had to pay for parking.

Hotel needs to add a bunch more hooks and bars in the bathroom. It is easier to reuse towels and separate who’s towels are each person’s. This would save on towels so hotel would have less laundry and work to do. Needs sink with more also outside of bathroom. Needs a large hot tub and small pool. Restaurant was closed all weekend inside hotel.
