Profile: Downtown Baltimore

Profile: Downtown Baltimore

Downtown Baltimore is sandwiched between Inner Harbor and Mount Vernon, at the center of the city’s cultural scene. At its heart is the Baltimore Basilica, a grand, Neoclassical cathedral complete with portico and dome to rival the Pantheon. At the nearby Walters Art Museum, you’ll be treated to millennia of art, from the prehistoric to the contemporary.

This central district is also a top spot for foodies, boasting some of Baltimore’s best restaurants. From stone-baked pizzas to fresh seafood, there’s plenty to tempt the taste-buds, and every summer you can enjoy Downtown’s Restaurant Week when tasting menus and pop-ups abound.

Hotel was clean, however it took all day and into the evening for someone to clean our room and by that time came we just asked for clean towels. At night it’s loud from the “street racing”. Perhaps it was just the location of our room. Gym was clean, pool was closed for the season.

The food was not good at all. The hotel was clean. The shooting that happened across the street was a little nerve wracking.

We stayed for 4 nights for a football/baseball trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful in getting us around Baltimore with ease. The room was clean and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. No more noise than any other hotel we've stayed in. The room was cleaned and fresh every day no matter what time we were in/out. We had read some negative reviews before we travelled but we're very happy with our experience. Definitely glad we stuck with our gut and stayed at the Radisson.

OK for a stay for O's games

Location a little further walk to the Stadium then expected. Hotel staff good, rooms clean. Elevators were is terrible condition, of the 3 there, only one worked most of the time and not very well at that. Service at restaurant and bar in certain need of re-vamp. Not much staff and not well trained! Basically for the value it was ok.

Our stay was terrible rooms weren’t available for all of my family. Hall ways and foyers are nasty paper on the floor … food and trash in front of hotel. The elevators smell and look terrible. Dirty lounge chairs with stains in rooms. Very dissatisfied
