Great room! Booked this hotel with parking my small truck onsite. Upon arrival, I was told that the truck couldn’t be parked on their property due to its size and was told to park at the university. Not a huge deal, but not what I anticipated after a day of travelling for 10hrs. They should think about specifying vehicle size and the fact that they actually only have room to park 6 cars.

Looks pretty, but look deeper
While the hotel has undergone a face lift in recent years, there are still some serious signs of aging that may affect your stay. We stayed here just after Christmas and it was unseasonably warm to the extent that we should have been running the A/C in the room. Unfortunately, the building is old and the system only allows for 'winter or summer mode'; meaning the heat was on. The first night, the room was easily 75 degrees. We slept with both windows open just to make it tolerable. This was the second issue. The windows open and fold down and in to the room which leads to two issues 1)The windows hang down beside the bed and can be hazardous if you run into them and 2) You can properly close the roll down blinds when the windows are open; meaning the room never truly gets dark. I know this seems like a petty complaint, but it did make a major difference in the quality of sleep. Some other items to consider, the ice machine is on the 8th floor (?), there is only valet parking onsite at $51 a day (!). We parked in a covered, underground lot for $20/day. The neighbourhood is clean and quite; just down the road from the Watergate. It's a little awkward navigating the city streets to get to the hotel. There is a 7/11 just down the road and a whole foods about a block away. Overall thoughts: We stayed here because we had earned a free night through a rewards program. It was semi-convenient but I probably wouldn't stay here again with so many options around

The room is renovated but the elevator/hallways are outdated/tired/old carpet, chipped paint throughout. Quite dingy. Also very strong fragrance is used - either as room or carpet spray or cleaning products, perhaps to hide overall mustiness of room? I spoke to front desk, explaining I was having allergic reaction to heavy fragrance - they replied there was nothing they could do as the hotel was fully booked. Suggested I open windows (there was a snowstorm!) to allow fresh air in. Lots of chipped paint on walls. Large visible clumps of dust on air exchange grill in bathroom. Bathrooms were renovated, and other than exhaust fan, were very clean and modern. Nice large tv. Wifi worked well.

Poor 2.0
The room was unfinished cold hard concrete floors... the entry was compact and reminded me off a shelter

Nice place for several nights
My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel room was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly.
