Great hotel a blast from the past
Second stay and not disappointed, great facilities swimming pool, spa, gym etc. Lovely breakfast with plenty of variety (buffet style ) served in the main dining room which is clean, spacious and not over crowded. Fantastic room with lovely sea view, plenty of space and well serviced. Very friendly and welcoming staff, always a pleasant smile and helpful. Did not eat in the hotl in the evening but menu looked good, there is also bar meals available which are very reasonably priced.Would recommend this hotel to all age groups and families. Great hotel with character and charm, like a step back in time but with the essential modern needs but still keeping the old past character and most importantly good old fashioned service

Pleasant short break.
I have stayed here many times and found the hotel very comfortable with excellent meals. It is a 10 minute walk to the centre and bus and tram stops are outside the hotel.

Travellers with disabilities beware
We had asked for accessible rooms as 3 of our party were wheelchair users but when we got there we were told their family rooms where not accessible, the manger was quite nice & did apologies for the mix up & did her best for 2hrs to resolve the situation, in the end we found a sort of solution although not the best as we could not really use the shower facilities in either room as they both contained a bath, also the lift to the swimming pool was also out of order so we were unable to use those facilities either although we were told we could use a neighbouring hotels pool,I thought complimentary dinner or lunch would have been offered by the hotel for all the inconvenience as it was not our mistake but theirs but no nothing was offered except a cup of tea

Stay over in Blackpool
Hotel room dated and very hot and stuffy, but the hotel is grand with a welcoming entrance and reception. Needs a refurb!
