The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, Tokyo
Fantastic hotel in the middle of a very quiet area of Japan. A short distance to public transportation and some great restaurants and pubs nearby. Not many tourist or families staying at the hotel during my visit. It was mostly men that appeared to be there for business purposes. The House of Representatives and High Court are within a stone throw from the hotel. If you are traveling as a family, please be mindful children are not allowed to use the pool or gym facilities. Other than that, the rooms and service were amazing. It was also quite pleasant to have an area to get away from all the crowds and foot traffic you'll inevitably encounter throughout Tokyo.

One of the best
Really nice stay. The decor was simple and elegant, but more importantly, the staff were incredibly caring and addressed me by name all along. The care was personal, which made the stay among the best I've had at any 5 star.

It was amazing!! Loved the hotel, staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was incredible, clean, and the food service was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel. Having the subway and shops below the hotel is great for all your travel needs.

Overall a disappointment
The hotel and the room itself is nice, a bit spartan for the price though. However, I found the hotel service to be poor. My Nespresso machine was broken, and I asked for it to be fixed/replaced twice over the course of two days. I made this request on the way out of the hotel and on neither occasion did they fix the machine. On the day I checked out, I had a flight at 11pm that evening. I asked if it would be possible to take a shower at the spa or gym etc (not in a room) in the evening before I left. I have made this request in many other hotels before and they have always been accommodating. I was shocked when the Capitol refused my request, saying that it was against hotel rules. I tried explaining that I wasn’t asking for access to a room, just the common shower facilities but they refused to budge. I would not recommend that anyone stay here, for the price, you expect a luxury experience and service to match, which you do not get here.
