Convenient for the market
This is a great place to stay to visit Trier's great Christmas Market. It's just across the road from the famous Porta Negra and the heart of the city. Hotel is clean, comfortable and welcoming, but access to the car park is a little difficult.

The location of this property was perfect for our trip, and we had the best view of Porta Nigra. Staff was great and the price was good also. Absolutely no complaints at all.

The hotel is very conveniently located by Porta Nigra with plenty of bus stops around. The main train station is just about ten minutes walk away. The staffs were very helpful. I had a minor fault in the bathroom at the time I checked in which was immediately attended. Overall I am very pleased with my stay.

I disliked the idea of placing the “do not disturb” sign for the door in a holder on the desk with half a dozen other things to read. It needs to be kept ON THE DOOR. We were very tired when we arrived so didn’t look at things on the desk. The next morning we slept in and a maid started to come into the room at least twice that we were aware of. When we did start using it, it was very flimsy and easily fell off of the door knob each time we went in and out.

A very uncomfortable night. The mattress had sagged badly. The Air Conditioning does not operate until June whatever the temperature outside, Open the window and the noise level is very high. There is a helicopter pad close to the Hotel (about 200 meters) try sleeping with that loud noise! You will need to pay 12 euros to park your car in a public underground car park. No mini fridge in room otherwise ok. Staff are argumentative and need training in customer service.

Good room, and great view from the front over the great Porta Nigra - be sure to ask for a room on the street. If arriving by car beware it's a twelve Euro charge for a twenty four hour ticket in the hotel car park.

The location is excellent, right by the Porta Nigra and the old city! Everything was good, except we did not have a fridge in our room.
