Disappointed that no mention of the reno/construction was shown on website when booking. No pool, restaurant or lobby. Also feel the Resort Fee was misrepresented. I was told that it included beach chairs/umbrella, but one is only entitled to use it one day of their stay and then, are required to pay $20/day for each subsequent use.

Grea location. Parking price Is too expensive and you are forced to have valet parking or park elsewhere. Hotel is currently under renovation and would come back after complete to experience the Reno.

    Welcome Back
It was a great experience. The hotel is under renovations thus some services are not available ( check with them on Resort fee options) I had a great view of Diamond Head on my 15 night stay. This hotel has served me well for the past 32 years. I look forward to returning to the very convenient location on the quiet side of Waikiki- A big thank you to all the stay for saying " Welcome Back " all the time -

Not as described or expected, and under renovation
For one, the hotel was undergoing a major renovation of the lobby AND the pool was closed. Would have been nice to know about before we decided to book! Not really sure how they could justify the resort fee but that’s Waikiki for you. I didn’t want to complain there because we’re on vacation but they seriously need to update their rooms. The condition is just horrible! The ceiling in our room was rotting! Bathtub paint pealing off everywhere and clearly not properly cleaned in years. It has black dirt all over. I’ve encountered so bad housekeeping and maintenance in my day, but nothing compares to this. We booked it because it was 3 start, and expected basic but clean accommodations. i don’t think this Hotel is worthy of a 3 start based on the condition, cleanliness, and poor maintenance department (if they even have one?). The housekeeper didn’t even remember to bring us ANY towels to replace the ones he/she took when servicing room. That again goes to show the quality you can expect. I get that condition is separate from cleanliness, but come on. They need someone in management that knows how to clean because this hotel is falling apart. The other staff I have to hand it to, however. Everyone we encountered was wonderful from bellman to valet to front desk. Definitely a 4 star level there. It’s their saving grace I suppose. It’s just too bad about the hotel itself. Location perfect, they provide beach chairs and towels and boogy boards which is nice!

    Under construction Nov 2017
We stayed here for two nights in Nov 2017 and they are doing a refresh construction on the hotel so it was nice to be upgraded to an ocean view with balcony. I heard they are expecting to be done in early 2018. Price was decent - still about 125 usd per night.
