Way above expectations.

The Strand Palace Hotel, London
Good location
It would have been a good stay if I had heat in my room. I did not and I was freezing the first night. They put a heater in my room the next night and it was better. It would seem I was not the only one with the problem.

Plugged shower drain
I would rate this a 3.5 star hotel. The beds were comfortable and clean. Great location. However, the rooms were extremely tiny and the bathroom was like a small walk in closet, with barely enough room to turn around in. As well as the tub not draining properly while showering ( standing in a 3 inch puddle ). Instant coffee provided in the rooms was ridiculous. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Reasonable hotel in excellent location.
Haven’t been to this hotel for several years. In this time I believe it has had a few changes of management. It isn’t quite as expensive as it has been, but is still overpriced. The chair in my room was filthy with several old stains. However the location will always be excellent.

Solid hotel. Elevators were a nightmare. It took forever to get to and from the room. But it is in a good area, with abundant restaurants, good shopping, excellent theatres and close proximity to public transport.
