10/10 Exceptional

8/10 Very good

The room was a little small for 2. Bathroom a good size. Don’t see why rooms can’t be serviced daily - reason given was covid - but if we were not in the room I don’t see why service couldn’t take place.

Good but could be better
I stayed in the standard room at 3rd floor in the main building. Not as amazing as most of the comments says. Curtains has to be closed to keep privacy from the apartment building where about 20 meters away… Hotel room has fashioned fit out but small with noise aircon. Also the noise from the hallway was so bad. Kind of nightclub type hotel but not a luxury one. Good location to the waterfront. Breakfast choices are quite standard. Table service could be improved. Like pour you a cup of coffee to start your meal.

Can’t wait to stay again!
Love this hotel! The art on the walls is incredible. The Hippopotamus high tea was delicious and the room is gorgeous. I was upgraded and given my room early and this was appreciated so much. I felt special!

6/10 Good

I love this hotel and have stayed a number of times but my experience this time around was not the greatest. The room was very run down; paint missing off the bathroom door, tap was broken, towel rail wasn’t attached properly and on everything the room we could see a lot of dust over the small table and bench top. We had 2 breakfasts, we usually love them. Our first morning on the Sunday was a total shambles. Almost everyone in the restaurant was waiting around for scraps of food that were being brought out from the kitchen, when it arrived wasn’t enough to actually feed the people standing waiting. It was a very bad experience for us and not as bad as some of the comments from the other guests who had endured this service for 3 mornings!! Our second morning was fantastic and back up to the standard that we know this place offers!! Everyone is due a bad day at the office and for us, this was that time. I hope this doesn’t put people off as it’s a great hotel, fantastic staff and service it’s just they struggled on this occasion restaurant wise.

10/10 Exceptional

the first room they offered us looked directly into the pool ara so the room was quite dark, but when asked if there was an option they put us in one overlooking the street, This really suited us, even tho there may be a bit more noise it was much lighter and you felt part of the city..overall the staff were helpful. Room was a good size, but lacked some of their normal offerings such as courtesy umbrellas clock and funnily no dishwashing gear.No problem on the first two but even tho we requested the dishwash gear it didnt show..washed them, old style with soap, rinsed and drained, could have used the dishwasher tho. overall i would definitly be back..Joes Garage round the corner was a great find for eating!

wont go back unless improvements are meet
service was poor from the staff, restaurant was closed as well as the bar only served beer and wine due to a lack of staff shower head was damaged so had a terrible shower parking was expensive and just on the side of the hotel so car security was poor for the rate requested there are better options in wellington if these guys want top rates they need to lift thier game big time

6/10 Good

Nice hotel but service is far from 5-star
The hotel is well located and the rooms are nicely decorated. However, their Harbourveiw room is on the second floor and overlooks a carpark. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. We were told that if we wanted the room services we would have to call and when we did call they told us they were very busy and were not sure if it could be done. Room service trays stayed in the hallway for two days.
