Excellent hotel with great service, views and food
The hotel staff here was so friendly. They gave us a room upgrade which gave us a view of the black sand beach and Vik. They also did wake up calls when the Northern Lights were visible, which end up being the best part of our trip. We were woken by a call, and went outside to get the most amazing light show. The staff also suggested places for us to drive to nearby for better views. The restaurant here is also great, but especially the cocktails. Overall I would recommend this hotel to any traveller staying along the south coast of Iceland. Especially if you are trying to make it out to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach and don't wan't to drive all the way from Reykjavik.
