The room was very small. The view was a wall from the window. Paid too much for the room ( friends paid same and had a beautiful room with a lounge area around the corner). Had a not clean feeling when in the room

Great for the price.
This hotel was great. The staff are friendly and polite and do what they can to help. The elevator is small and the room didn’t have any closet or dresser but that’s to be expected in a classic building. Just don’t bring clothes that you need to hang since you’ll be living out of a suitcase.

Exceptional
Our stay was good - very nice hotel and staff. My only comment is their accounting department never returned my call but our account was ultimately corrected.

Perfect for a quick stay
This hotel was exactly what we needed for our one night stay in Chicago. We were in the city for a concert and just needed a convenient place to stay. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the House of Blues. The staff was extremely friendly, particularly the afternoon/evening staff, which was the staff we interacted with the most. The room was small, but for what we needed it was perfect. I'd imagine an extended stay of longer than a weekend could feel cramped, but it was perfect for a quick stay. The bed was comfortable and the room came with hypoallergenic pillows (which is a big point of contention with me because I'm allergic to feather pillows). There were also feather pillows, but we just removed them from the bed and used the pillows that we weren't allergic to. I'm a sucker for continental breakfast, and while it wasn't anything really fancy, it was delicious and definitely a good start to the day. The elevators were a bit small, but we managed okay. The elevators also flashed a little screen that said the best and least busy times for breakfast, which was really nice information to have. We did go during the busy time for breakfast, but it really wasn't that bad in terms of crowds. Overall, I was really happy with my stay here. It's not a fancy hotel, but it's comfortable with great staff and perfect for a quick stay.
