Exceptional 10.0
Boutique hotel oozes with charm, a must stay.
So much charm in this boutique hotel, with a restaurant in the lobby and speak easy in the basement. The room I was given was gorgeous, would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in manhattan.

Poor 2.0
307 worst room EVER. Unhelpful staff.
I had a horrible stay here. Room 307 is the worst room I have ever stayed in. Right outside the window (which is frosted and has zero natural light) is a massive generator or air unit that runs on and off all night long. I tried each day to move to another room that I could sleep in. The front desk were so unhelpful and always passed me off to the next person working. Always saying we are fully booked. Even though I could see on the website the same king rooms available each evening. Finally on the last day they changed my room and the room was beautiful. But had already spent 4 sleepless nights in the 307 dungeon.

Decent Midtown Option
The hotel overall is good. The restaurant and bar is a great spot, great service. Checkin was quick and painless. The room was as advertised. Staff are friendly and courteous. Decor is nice. Small issues: a few towels were mouldy, and floor length mirrors in the room would have been appreciated. There was also no plug outlet in the bathroom for the hair dryer. There was a hiccup with a leak from the downpour of rain the city got during my stay, and while it wasn’t handled very well, at the very least the management refunded the evening the room was affected and moved me to another room the next day.

small, noisy, but comfortable
overall, good value. small rooms and no sound insulation from street sounds. great bathrooms!

Good 6.0
Just okay.
Overall hotel is just okay. The renovations looks great, but looking closely there's a lot of misses. My toilet paper roll holder was hanging onto the wall by a thread, the toilet didn't flush properly and you could see holes that had been filled in the shower from where they tried to hang the soap tray. The hotel looks clean, but the sink hasn't been properly cleaned after someone had shaved. The bed was super comfy, and the TV was massive, which were all nice upgrades. I was only there for one night and wouldn't stay much longer than that.
