Horrible experience
Very slow check in no greeting or help with the luggage. We were given an occupied room and ti fix this big inconvenience, they gave us a mold smelly room, broken door with no lock, broken safety box. The whole room was horrible. Two hours later I was given a better room after I threatened to leave to resort. I’m very loyal to Hotels.com and I feel I should be compensated this very bad inconvenience. I waisted over 3 hours just to get in to a decent room with my family. Not fair😩

I will definitely not stay here again
We booked a room with ocean view and the room was in very bad condition. It smelled of mildew/cement. The bathroom was is so much need of an upgrade. It was more like a 2 start Hotel not a resort. The food was okay but not a lot of options to choose from. We staid 4 nights and the food was always the same.

Not what is advertised on website, only two buffets and one restaurant open. One time day no restaurant was open. Spent more time eating out. Beach is dirty and limited seating. Pool is cold and not worth relaxing at. Staff doesn’t give a layout of property when checking in. Would not recommend to any friends.

5th trip to Krystal: worst ever
Every other time to Krystal went smoothly. This time, not so much. They gave us the wrong room, and we had to wait til the next day to get the right one. Then they forgot we were there. No maid service, and on the 3rd day, a new couple walked into our room with they're luggage, while we were changing !! Then they canceled our key cards and we couldn't get into our room. All the staff are great, and they try their hardest, BUT... Maid service twice in 7 days. AND we tip generously. We paid more than double what we paid 2 years ago, and there are a lot less amenities. After 5 times, probably won't go back.

Do not stay here. We have been to mexico approx 10 times and this is by far the worst resort we have ever stayed at. Not even close to a 4 star resort. Any good reviews you read here are definitely about the newly acquired resort next door - Krystal Altitude. Krystal PV residents do not have access. This resort is so old and dirty. They tried to check us into a standard room when we paid for a deluxe sea view room. Took us about an hour of switching around to 4 different rooms to finally get to the one we paid for. The food is HORRIBLE. We were starving for the first 4 days until we finally left the resort to eat. We are not hard to please when it comes to beach vacations but I don't have one good thing to say about this resort other than the view from our ocean view room. Dirty, unhelpful and not friendly staff. 10-30 minute lines for drinks. The resort provided pictures are deceiving. We stayed at the Krystal in Nuevo Vallarta last year and it was a million times nicer than this one. The location of this resort is good - quick bus ride to the Malecon or Marina. You'll hardly want to spend anytime at this resort. Pool has a bunch of floaties, pool tables and chairs are not cleaned. Only 1 A La Carte that they make it difficult to get a reservation at. Just don't stay here.
