  • 6.0.Good

Pros: gorgeous historical house, beautiful grounds, very nice and unique rooms, good breakfast. Cons: service. We never got a property tour. They advertise that they have a “bar”, but it’s not functioning - ongoing construction. No one at the property after 7pm to assist guests. Our toiletries were never refilled, and we stayed for multiple nights and clearly needed more. There was no “do not disturb” sign in the room, so no way to request privacy. Front porch is very nice but furniture there is covered with bird dropping so not very pleasant to sit there. Breakfast was tasty, but no options (what if I don’t like waffles?) and never asked about out dietary restrictions or allergies.

    Definitely recommend this Inn!

Our stay was excellent. The inn-keeper was welcoming and attentive. The inn is beautiful, the food was delicious. Our room was a bit warm but otherwise extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend this inn to our friends and family!

    Great Bed and Breakfast Experience

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. This was our first true bed and breakfast experience and really enjoyed it. The owner and daughter were wonderful and attentive. They took us up to the look out deck at the top of the house, which was awesome! An amazing view of the town, property, and coast. The property was beautiful with a great history that was shared with us. There are a few renovations that they plan to do, but that didn't negatively impact our stay at all. Every room was clean and filled with beautiful decor. The breakfast that was served was delicious! We wished we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend this place!

Historic, graceful charming b and b

This is in a wonderful spot. Easy to find and with a garden that winds down to the sea. Inside is like you wish your house was decorated. It has an old historic creaky charm. It has some quirks, we had a tiny shower room and found the traffic noise woke us early but didnt detract at all from our 2 nights here. There is a lot of work to do here but i am sure it will be a great succ

Inn keeper is wonderful. Bed was hard tho. Our room faced the street and truck traffic kept waiting us up. The breakfast was AMAZING. We would stay again, except not in that room.

This historic Inn was perfect. Its listed on the National Register of Historic Places so the architecture and history of the place was really nice and the furnishings were also period. Yet they had pretty up-to-date wifi and flat tv screen with access to just about every tv and sports channels if you wanted to get updates. Dawn and Cassidy, the Inn Keepers are extraordinarily friendly and they serve a really nice breakfast. We were in the center of town in only 8 minute drive. Have already started to recommend the Inn to friends and family and will not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks Dawn, thanks Cass

Captain Nickels is a beautiful inn

The Captain Nickels Inn is a beautiful old New England mansion that has been lovingly restored. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we felt very well cared for. If you love antiquing or being outdoors, this area has much to offer. We highly recommend this location.
