Staff and owner are very friendly and professional. Very fresh and clean property. Secluded but not a stones throw from civilisation. Great views and walks looking out over Belfast and Antrim. Alot of history in these hills. We will be back

Standing Stones is out of Belfast 10-15 minutes on top of a moor. It’s clean bright rooms are warm and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a quiet spot with good food for the evening meal and fantastic views at sunrise and sunset. One minor criticism is that breakfast doesn’t get served until 8:15 to 8:30 am which isn’t ideal for the business traveler, but if you are here to relax so be it. Also continental breakfast could have a bit more of a “whole foods” feel! Nonetheless it’s an excellent find and very good value. I thoroughly recommend it.

    Lovely hosts, beautiful surroundings

It is remote (nothing around, 15 minutes from town) and simple (the “lodge” rooms are akin to a motel with doors and windows opening on a central yard, not views of the natural surroundings), but it was all well kept and clean. And the proprietors could not be more lovely and generous. It was definitely worth the price and we would stay here again for a quiet place a bit away from the action. We did not eat at the restaurant but it seemed lovely.

    Lovely over night stop

I arrived late on Thursday night and was made to feel very welcome, during checkin and at dinner. The lodge was very comfortable and well laid out. Food and beer was very good and very reasonably priced. Views are stunning Couple of slight issues is that the taxi drivers in Belfast were not really aware of the hotel as it is reasonably new and there is a window in the door that has no curtain and at this time of year lets in a lot of light very early in the morning. Will definitely come again if in the area
