Very basic, pot luck on food.
Room 2 was freezing on entering. Soon found out it was down to one of double glazed windows was cracked and as hanging off. There was a 1inch gap at top so never closed. Room is at front of premises and with gap in window and street light you heard everyone coming and going. Got up next morning to be told chef failed to apear so no food available. Lady on reception/bar was lovely. Bed, well, sloped at sides so make sure you sleep in midle and every time you moved a spring popped but never felt it. Bed was hard so if you like that you'll sleep ok.

Room For Improvement
The beds where not same size of mattresses. Under the beds, the carpets were very dirty and appear not to have been vacuumed for a long time. The coat hangers were terrible. The side lamp was in a state of disrepair. Not brew kit was provided, for example room kettle, coffee, tea, milk, cups and glasses. No mini shampoo was provided. No iron board and Iron was provided. No phone for room service. Staff were great and helpful. Customer service was good. Bed sheets and towels were clean and in good condition. There is a free good car park that is safe. Breakfast is excellent. For £5 you get a complete English breakfast. The heating was satisfactory and showers were good with warm water. Water pressure dropped in the shower at one time, but it was rectified after alerting the management. I would definitely say that it was over rated. It’s a 2 star ⭐️ Not a 3 star ⭐️ plus.

Sleepover
Friendly staff, mattrass worn . Good linnen and towels. Carpets worn but clean. Parking was safe and our luggage there the next morning as they said it would be. Was just a sleepover for a early flight.

Stayed 3 nights whilst visiting my terminally ill brother. Room clean & beds comfortable but extremely hot. No fan in room & only small high up window. No tea or coffee making facilities & noise of disco/ karaoke on Friday & Saturday nights was too loud plus fireworks at 3am. Maybe suit younger generation.

Middling
Was a quick trip to my folks so was handy. Staff are friendly enough and manager john was lovely in sorting out a mix up . The area is a big rough but that not the hotel fault n they have security cameras as any place. Our only fault really was they have a DJ or singer down below and music on weekends goes on u til quite late that u can hear in the room so rather noisy n difficult to get early night. N they had a fab reggae singer n night on the plus side.

DONT BOTHER.
There are no words - and not in a good way. On arrival, the place was very run down and unclean. Our rooms however were clean, yet the toilet smelt horrific - of damp and drains. I had to use another room to go to the toilet it smelt that bad. Our room faced onto the car park, where the pub windows below us were open, playing loud music until half 11/12. This wouldn’t have been a problem if we kept our windows closed but no fans were provided in the room and therefore windows needed to stay open. Ontop of this, groups of teenagers milled around in the carpark, smoking cigarettes and weed, and playing music from their cars. This went on well pass midnight. They were not customers of the pub downstairs and just drove in for a social. Overall, the place was so run down, stank of smoke and damp. I will NOT be returning and suggest anyone else should go else where.

Handy clean basic hotel with good food.
A basic hotel but my room was clean tidy and quiet despite this being an Inn. Food was tasty and well presented. Car parking in hotels own carpark. Easy access into Birmingham Central. Only down no tea or coffee in room.

Okay but some big downsides so not recommened.
Booked two rooms that were clean in general bar the odd wall mark, towels were clean and some basic toilitires provided, but very basic room and quite small like a dorm room. There was a TV with Freeview channels in each room which was nice and apparently private WiFi but no password was given on check in. Check in itself was right in the middle of the pub on a Saturday night so not a great experience for a non drinker. Unfortunately there was a smell coming from the toilet plumbing which did not disappear in the room I was in, but all was okay in the second room we had booked. The real downsides was the open cannabis use from some of the pub customers downstairs at the entrance which was not very pleasing for a family to see or have to walk past. Parking was next door and was okay. Cheap overall but I would not recommend this for a family at all, stick to a more conventional place and pay a little extra. Also the area was a little questionable in general
