Matanzas is a beautiful city often overlooked by turists. The Hotel Louvre sits in the heart of Matanzas overlooking the Parque Libertad and has just recently been fully renovated. The building is certainly an old colonial style with modern finishes. The staff are extremely helpful and dedicated to service. The bar makes excellent drinks and the restaurant is solid as well. The rooms are spacious and blend modernity with antiques. I will say that my room was spotless.
