Fine but felt a little less than 4 star

Pros: Phenomenal location for touring NYC attractions. Walking distance to Times Square and Broadway shows. Lots of great restaurants and amenities. Several train options close by. Nice lobby and bar area to camp out at (albeit crowded). The room felt very spacious for Manhattan and was in decent condition. Staff were friendly and bell hop was helpful with luggage. They also let you store your gear after check out so you can tour that day. Cons: We did not get the room type we reserved. It was the correct size and bed config but had a handicap access bathroom which is awful if you have kids, water gets everywhere. We booked months ahead and they should have saved us what we booked and only let access bathrooms to later reservations. I would have gone elsewhere. And when my wife complained, they offered no compensation and said maybe they could move us later in the stay but who wants to deal with that?! Also, the breakfast is super crowded and the seating areas were kept way too hot. It’s nice to have free breakfast but the quality was low (think Hampton inn or comfort suites, super basic).

Rooms too small

Rooms far too small for 2 adults and a child - there’s nowhere to put your suitcases. We were having to climb over each other to go to the toilet. We had to call out the engineer to come unblock the toilet. The bed hadn’t been made up and not enough bedding in the room for the spare bed. Breakfast was ok but the dining room was far too busy even when we went at the time advised for it not to be busy. …….i just don’t feel this hotel is a relaxing stay - worst Hyatt hotel I have ever stayed in.
