Not what I would expect....
While the hotel was clean and comfortable and the service was fine, I would not stay here again. First off, our room faced the street and was noisy far beyond 10 pm. There was an almost continuous rattle in the room caused by something vibrating but I could not figure out what. The bathroom door is translucent. When someone uses it at night and turns the light on the adjacent bed is bathed in light. The parking is not on site. Due to using a city parade it was mostly free over the weekend. Nevertheless, the street was closed for an event and I couldn’t load my luggage in the assigned spot at check out, and needed to walk with it for half a block and then up 5 flights of stairs. It was a bonus that we were very close to where we needed to be in town which is why I picked TheBedford but it didn’t meet my expectations unfortunately.

Poor 2.0
Disappointed
Place smelt like grease and the room temperature was uncomfortably hot; was running air conditioner in 40 degree weather. No parking available despite what they tell you. Their flagship restaurant, Garricks, is a health hazard. We observed from their open concept kitchen much cross contamination occurring. Also, a bartender was drinking tall glass of whiskey while working. Wouldn't recommend either to anyone visiting Victoria.

The room was quite warm as the curtain when down covers the air outflow to the room! Otherwise very pleasant staff. Thank you

Great stay and nice Staff!
When we booked a hotel in Victoria, we were solely looking at price. We had no idea we would be in the middle of downtown. We checked in and the receptionist were very friendly and welcoming. We got to our room and it was really cute! Has such character and loved that we can look out our window and people watch! My kids loved it. The room is old, but its in a old hotel. It was enough. The rooms were clean for the most part. Some dust in areas, but overall not bad! Beds are springy. Maybe update the beds. There were loud people at the bar late at night, but that didnt bother us. We love hearing the ferry horn and the seagulls in the morning. It was definitely part of the experience. Local restaurants right next door! Murchie is a hidden gem!
