Pluses: Cheap. And that's it.
One of the worst mattresses I've ever slept on. The fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy. The "continental breakfast" wasn't even day old pastry standard, it was "wrapped in cellophane on the counter of a gas station for 5 years" standard, with orange "drink" of some sort, and that's it. Oh, and coffee. Don't want to short change them. Portland is a lovely town and I really like going there but its popularity has made finding a decent but affordable hotel nearly impossible. Econolodge is affordable, but only stay there if you plan on spending most of your time experiencing Portland and not having to do work or stuff in your hotel room.

Easy stay in Portland
We were in town for an event down town Portland and it's out pattern to just park and take Portlands awesome public transportation system. Location for this was excellent as there was a street car station just across the street. Easy street car access to downtown & the Pearl District. Within walking distance to Lloyd Center. Location was very quiet, room had minimal ammenities, but clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.
